Job Roles: *Hyperion Consultant* Location: *Foster City, CA* Duration: 6+ months *JOB DESCRIPTION:* Currently seeking a strong functional and technical IT professional who is proficient in Hyperion Planning, design and modeling of reporting Essbase cubes and using ODI, SQL skills for data transfers Strong functional and business process knowledge in the area of FP&A Planning forecasting and management reporting. · Plays a technical lead role and works collaboratively with the functional users and cross-functional teams in IT. · Proficient and hands-on with ODI Conducts complete diagnosis and root cause analysis of system and data issues, factoring in a strong understanding of the application data architectures to create valuable planning and reporting system. · Works with business and IT teams to support new functionality as well as to assess impact of changes Creates and manages project plans Tracks progress, produces and presents status reporting. · Transforms business requirements into logical data models and preliminary physical data models. · Applies data analysis, data modeling, and quality assurance techniques to establish, modify, and maintain data structures and associated components. · Contributes to the identification of data design options to meet business requirements for large and complex initiatives spanning multiple applications. · Maintains a consistent view of enterprise data definitions and vocabularies to ensure consistency in process and quality. · Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with proven experience in requirements gathering, process mapping and design, system documentation. · Complex discussions across multi-functional teams and drive to successful outcome. · Strong Experience in trouble shooting/ problem solving through SQL queries in databases. · Business Intelligence/ Data warehousing be added advantage. · Ability to multi-task within a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment. · Work closely with different functional areas and project teams to identify and document reporting and Data interface requirements. · Collaborate within IT to understand the data sources necessary to implement the planning and reporting applications interfaces requirements. · Help drive testing activities to ensure accuracy and validity of data and reports across all boundary applications. Background in Biotech or Pharma is a big plus *Knowledge, Experience and Skills* · 8+ years of hands-on experience with functional and technical implementation of Hyperion Planning applications and reporting cubes including hands-on experience with Hyperion Planning system architecture, Essbase administration, security configuration and ODI data interfaces for planning applications and reporting cubes. · Proficient and hands-on with functional and technical aspects of planning and reporting models. · Proficient and hands-on with Hyperion/ Essbase technology, architecture and administration/ performance tuning tasks. · Proficient in ASO/BSO concepts, MDX, MAXL, shell scripting. *Technical Skills:* · Hyperion Planning, Essbase, Calc Manager, Shared Services, HFR 11.1.2x MAXL, MDX SQL Oracle database knowledge EPM installation & troubleshooting experience. · ODI · Scheduling tools like Automic. · Excel macros UNIX, LINUX & Windows scripting. · Experience with OBIEE, HFM, FDM, FCM is a plus.
