I'm sure that many of us that are infrequent PCB eda users don't want someone who has all the CAD tools available saying that a reasonably good printable rendering of a PCB in mid concept - or finished, would not be a useful tool.
I have an older version(12) of AutoCAD the gets me by, but nothing works with it anymore, and that is what happens with all hooks to other programs. 3-D is not an option for me, but the 3D viewer that Protel tried to say worked, was one of the reasons we bought Protel instead of a lesser package. I have the same view as Mr. Lomax for good reasons. It keeps it all in the same package, and would be much easier to tweak or change when conceptualizing the board. We still do this with parts and bare punchboards now. I do see that different users would still want the hooks to the outside world.... Just my take....... *************************** Bill Hart Datalog Systems (918) 245-1212 *************************** >This is not done simply and if I may say so, not Altium's responsibility.
