If that doesn't work you will probably have to uninstall reload Protel by doing the following: 1. Using the Add/Remove Programs icon in the Control Panel, uninstall any Protel 99 SE Service Packs, then uninstall Protel 99 SE itself. 2. Delete the \Program Files\Design Explorer 99 SE folder if this was not removed by the Uninstall process. 3. Search the WinNT (or Windows) folder for files using the search criteria *99SE* keyword 4. Remove all of the found files that contain the *99SE* 5. Install Protel 99SE 6. Install the latest service pack My regards, Steve Smith, C.I.D. Within the schematic go to Options, Preferences, select the default tab. Under the partfields you can set which partfields are visible or hidden when the part is brought into the schematic. This is global for all parts but I think this will suffice for what you want. Remember to check the permanent checkbox or else the settings are lost after the current session. In our case we set partfield1 and partfield3 as visible in this manner. Sincerely, Brad Velander. Lead PCB Designer Norsat International Inc. Re: [PEDA] Global changes in schematic libraries.
Does anybody know how I can do a global change to the part field titles of all components in a library? I don't fancy the alternative; do them all, one by one Strange you post this query - I was just last week pondering the same thing!! It's simple but quite effective - I used it for exactly the same reason as yours - to avoid manually changing all Patr Field Names. Downloaded it. Tried it. Worked like a bomb! Thanks Wojciech.
