Should 99SE work well on XP? Rusty Land Did you save these ddbs to a CD, then copy the files from the CD to your new system? Files copied from CD are often marked Read Only. -- Peter Bennett TRIUMF 4004 Wesbrook Mall, Vancouver, BC, Canada GPS and NMEA info and programs: http://vancouver-webpages.com/peter/index.html * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * To post a message: mailto:proteledaforum;techservinc.com * * To leave this list visit: * http://www.techservinc.com/protelusers/leave.html * * Contact the list manager: * mailto:ForumAdministrator;TechServInc.com * * Forum Guidelines Rules: * http://www.techservinc.com/protelusers/forumrules.html * * Browse or Search previous postings: * http://www.mail-archive.com/proteledaforum;techservinc.com * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *
Re: [PEDA] Windows XP- Can't Open Read Only Ddb's in 99SE
I use XP Pro and don't have any 'read only' problem like that. It's something goofy on your system, not Protel. Maybe during one of your 'mess' sessions, you got all your design folders into read only mode... If you use version control (do you?) and have 'checked in' your files, they will become read only on your drive until you check them out again.
