Mike, What standards did you purchase? I believe that if you are a IPC designer council member you can only purchase standards, visit seminars, and use your coupon on subjects related to design. So assembly stuff is out. Abd ul-Rahman, I just attended a IPC cert. course. There

[PEDA] 80 Mil Thick PCB

Hello, Thanks for all the information in the Layer Stackup Info. string! Would anyone give me an example of a board stackup (4 layer) for a 80 mil thick PCB and a 62 mil thick PCB? I don't have the IPC standard for prepreg. The PCB is specified as 80 mil for mechanical reasons only. The PCB

[PEDA] perimeter stitched ground vias question

Mamdouh, after reading your question I believe that you may be under some misconceptions. It seems that you are talking about stitching vias around the perimeter of the PCB only. If this is the case you will see very little reduction of radiated emissions or susceptibility to

This is fine for free space, but if you're trying to calculate the wavelength in something like coax you have to take into account the change in velocity: Wave Lenght (in meters) = (VF.c)/f Where VF = velocity factor (about 0.6 for RG59) c = speed of light in vacuum in m/s
