I wonder if they improved the Autotrax BOM generator in this version. I don't see any mention of it in the fanfare. Too bad. That would've be a giant step forward. I won't even ask about a functioning simulator. At this point in time I have a fairly reliable ecad system, the core of which is

Adeline, I have done a good deal of keyboards. You'll need to know if these keypads will be gold plated or carbon ink. The widths and types of patterns can depend on this. They tend to need wider traces when carbon ink. The carbon ink has been widely used for me, it is plenty durable and cheaper

Hi Tim, Try the Hide- Nets- All- function, you'll notice an increased process speed, for some reason it goes thru this analyze nets function when the nets are turned on, even though you're only moving the reference designator, probably another bug? Best regards, Casey Vanderweide. -

Tim, if the hide nets all is not appropriate, you can usually get a significant performance increase by singling out your most used nets to be hidden. Usually GND. Sincerely, Brad Velander. Lead PCB Designer Norsat International Inc. Microwave Products Tel (604) 292-9089 (direct line)

You mention ... quickly flashes analyzing [net name]. This has been reported before in connection with multiple polygon planes on one net. I guess you have several polygon planes on one net (Probably GND or so). Try to hide this net. Normally the behavior should then be normal. regards,

I just had this very similar problem (see results of performance problems in archives). It was taking me 8 seconds to move an 0805 reference designator. The solution was to re-install Protel and let it override all the *.ini files. I tried so many things prior to this that also helped, but this
