[PEDA] 'Member not found' when opening a spreadsheet

2002-04-11 Thread Stephen Casey
Dear Group, I get a 'Member not found' error box displayed when I open a spreadsheet within Protel 99SE SP6. If I click the 'OK' button the spreadsheet opens without problem, and I can use it normally. Has anybody experienced this behaviour? By the way, this occurs not only with existing

Jason, aside from your problems with warp and twist, there are other possible problems lurking if you do not know the actual thickness of your Nickel/Gold plating. There are a myriad of complicated electro/chemical/physics related problems which can occur with Nickel Gold plating, the

Brad, The boards are manufactured to BS and IPC recommendations by a high volume international supplier if there are any problems with the plating, ( of which there is no evidence and which I doubt there are), then its not our problem. As for the latest on the actual problem - board warping to

Jason, please don't think that you are safe by the fact the board shops may comply with IPC or other specifications. IPC and other specifications allow for platings which would experience solder joint embrittlement during fabrication if the wrong solders/processes are used.

[PEDA] PCB Panelization

2002-04-11 Thread Tim Fifield
I'm going to be doing my first PCB panelization soon. I was just wondering what the best tool to use would be. I have P99SE SP2, Camtastic 2000, and GC Preview. I think GC Preview is just a viewer though... Any thoughts on which tool to use? If anybody has some quick do's or don'ts that would

Tim, for small boards we will commonly attempt it in Protel but there are some bugs which can creep in without notice until Protel gags and stops performing some function correctly. For larger boards you would be wise to skip on to the Camtastic but it is no fun. If you are just

I don't get that error message; I'm using Access db. Do you use Access, or Windows files? Did this just start happening? Spreadsheets created using New spreadsheet document use .spd, but Report | BOM creates a .xls; both work for me. -Original Message- From: Stephen Casey

Tim, In my opinion, I would not do the panelization in any of them. I let the Fab house do the copy and repeat steps. Protel does not handle this well at all and I am not confident enough in my ability in Camtastic to reproduce a perfect result. I pay the fab house for a service and I let them
