[PEDA] Protel 99 Export dBase IV

2002-04-23 Thread Harald . Bruenig

Protel 99
How can I export from schematic to a dBase IV file (DBF).

In Protel 98 it was via
File-Exp. dBase IV

Thanks
Harald

It's still there. If you look at how menu items are constructed, you'll see
there is one in the list of processes called:
Sch:ExportSchematicToDatabase

Use that one, and fill in the text line above it with something like:
ExportToDatabase.

When you close the dialog box, you now have access to
File:Export:ExportToDatabase

You'll get a dialog box asking what you want to save. It took me 2 minutes
to figure this out...

OK so I was being a smart ass because I didn't know offhand, and I quickly
figured it out.

OTOH, Protel DOES mention the feature on page 159 (I think), therefore it
SHOULD be available on the standard menu tree. We shouldn't have to 'create'
it.

Yes, you are right - while it's described in manual it should be there, in menu.
The explanation for this I found in Protel's Knowledge Base, Item 1920
