Hi Daniel,
yes you can do it with drawn pads from pads, fills, tracks,
polygons. The only caveat is that you will have to run the netlist tool
to update the primitives from the pads. That will get rid of your

Hi Leo,
that behaviour is ok. You can not give teh focus to a component in the pcb
editor like you are used to in the schematic editor.
Phew!
Although that is not exactly the answer I was hoping for it still is a
relief; I thought I was going nuts

Hi,
I'd like to use a large, unmasked, plated, copper pour, on a single layer, to

I need to quantify the thermal resistance of the copper pour to ambient. I

Hi,
Does anybody know how many kind of netlist that Protel 99SE PCB editor
recognizes?
Is there any kind of netlist capable to hold class definiton and/or PCB
design rule definiton which could be imported into Protel PCB editor?
Thank you for any clue!

Oh well, just found the solution to the problem:
I just need to uncheck the 'lock primitives' checkbox on the antenna
footprint before running the 'update primitives'... And, of
course, re-check
'update free primitives from component pads'
is not titled exactly right
it WILL assign component tracks as well
never knew about the locked behavior you mention,
in fact i sort of doubt it since we run the 'update' often enough here
but maybe it does effect component track updating, not sure
Ian and the group,
Ok, I have waited for the dust to settle on this one before asking what
may appear to some to be a simple question, but before I do, I need to
explain a few things.
First, I am color blind. Not totally, as some might think, since I can
see and distinguish most, if not all
I forgot one additional thing:
Did anyone else get a post to this thread with an attachment from

Me thinks it might just be afoul of good intentions . . .
Possibly a virus?
I have not opened it . . .

I too have an Official Protel 99 SE Mouse Pad . . .
I Stopped by Protel NA in Rancho Bernardo (Baja Escondido) one day, and
among other things, I asked them for a Protel Coffee Cup.
Much to my surprise, they apologized and said that they did not have
such a thing as a Proel Coffee Cup, but
