the latter.
The Protel Knowledge Base gets only three hits using JEDEC as the search
word, and none of these items shed light on my problem.
Any more ideas? Is there any one out there who is using Protel's CUPL
plug-in for actual programming files?
I am using 99SE SP6

Darren,
Found the problem. You can set the system font (or not) from two
places. I you click on the down arrow just left of the FILE button at
the top of the screen, then click on PREFERENCES, there is a button that
says, CHANGE SYSTEM FONT just like the one under DESIGN OPTIONS.
However,
. The last thing I did was a strain gauge amplifier
(something I never did before). Had the circuit up and running in one
afternoon, cost of components about $10 versus a packaged product with
similar specs from Omega for $400. Is that worthwhile? My boss thought
so.
It all depends...

That has nothing to do with circuit simulation.

testing is generally prohibitive (unless you
live in China).
Also, cheap components often drift with age. The more expensive high
tolerance parts don't drift as badly.
If I misunderstood let me know and I'll take another stab at it.

Nice and true thoughts, Gary.
It all depends on:
1. How experienced you are when doing and debugging
your designs.
Absolutely.
2. How experienced you are with the simulation tools.
Mainly analog specialists go
have caught this oversight in the process preparing the simulation. The
error would have been fixed before the simulation was even running.

Can anyone here give a brief rundown of the pros and cons of these two
apps? Most usable features, easiest to use, etc.
