[PEDA] reg old designs

2004-03-16 Thread Paresh Pai
Hi everybody !

I am using Protel99SE SP6 and I am new to it.Everytime I open the Design explorer , it
takes a lot of time opening all the previously opened design databases.

Is there a way to stop this from happening? All I want is that no design should open
when I start the design explorer.

Thanks in advance.

Paresh Pai

Sure, close your designs before exiting Protel and the next time you open Protel no
designs will be open.

Quite simple: close all designs first, then close Protel.

Re: [PEDA] reg old designs

2004-03-16 Thread Paresh Pai
Thanks to all who replied so promptly. But surprisingly, I have been doing
that and still I get all those designs back !. Is there a particular way of
closing a design ? I use File - Close Design. What happens is everytime I
open design explorer, it says Scanning design documents with the moving
magnifying glass and then sequentially opens all those designs which were
previously open even if they had been closed.
The version is 6.6.7.
Are there any .INI settings to be done which I am missing out ?

Another variation is to hold down the CTRL key while 99SE is launching. It
will still load all the projects, but will do it without opening any files
that were previously opened. (It's much faster)

Quite simple: close all designs first, then close Protel.

ERROR:

Quite simple: close all open documents first, then, CLOSE DESIGN. Always
make sure your design is closed before quitting Protel. A once in awhile
bug here within Protel may cause an error somewhere within your project.
