dCSM (amongst other features) provides very effective database linking
between Protel and a parts database.

Subject: Re: [PEDA] Database linking

While I realize that this topic has had it's share of time in the limelight.
I still would like to know whether or not Protel has any intention on fixing
this function.
It seems to me that this function worked very well and rather quickly in
Client 3.x and ever since has been a menace. Not only does it take forever
plus a day to run the link but it is not configurable to run for a single
sheet, nor does it give any indication of it's progress. Possibly the most
annoying thing is that it locks up your ability to do anything else until
it's finished (15 hours later for a big design). So realistically, how
usable does that make it!!!!
Can I please get some resolution from Protel on this issue.
