Re: [PEDA] Print preview bug on Arcs
We are using Protel 99SE with service pack 6 and no problem with the printing pcb with Arc tracking. Must be some setting or your printer is not supporting arcs. I have just discovered a bug. When using the print-preview tool to print a PCB containing 'Arc-mode' tracking, it locks up the application and I have to re-start Protel. Otherwise, I have found the print preview tool to be almost excellent. 2 questions: Is this old news, or have I found something new? Is there any way of printing a PCB with 'Arc-mode' tracking? David I have just tried printing arc's and they seem OK. I also tried it on Zarlink SNIM layout (Mike B's) by changing some of his 45 deg routes to arc and trying again and it still seems OK. I had a lot of issues with Print/Preview feature before SP6 as large format printers (HP350/750C+) were not supported properly before then. But with SP6 all seems OK. Best Regards John A. Hi again, I have deleted and re- routed the arcs in the same way and the bug has evaporated. What a funny world we live in... Re: [PEDA] Print preview bug on Arcs
I'm having a somewhat similar problem when trying to print schematics to Adobe Acrobat. Arcs on the right 20% of the schematic are not printed to the PDF. The effect removes the rounded portion of gate symbols (And, Or, etc). Anyone seen this, or have any tips? I'm running 99SE SP6 on Win'98 with 512MB ram, no apps open except Protel and Acrobat. Re: [PEDA] Print preview bug on Arcs
Dave, I have just tried creating a simple design using tracks in arc mode, as a test. Got to print preview OK, but as soon as I hit the print button, bye bye Protel. Locked solid. Most odd. Mike. The problem may be file-specific, so it is crucial to save a file which shows this problem, together with information about the printer and printer driver revision level. Unless the bug is known, which would likely show up pretty quickly on this list, the file, or a cut-down version of the file that still shows the problem, should be sent to Protel, together with the printer/driver information. At the same time, other users may wish to investigate the problem. Please don't send attached files to this list, but only to those individual users who indicate their willingness to receive them. (I think this list is now set to reject attachments, which is essential for most mailing lists, particularly because of virus security, but also for other reasons as well). * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * To post a message: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] * * To leave this list visit: * http://www.techservinc.com/protelusers/leave.html * * Contact the list manager: * mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] * * Forum Guidelines Rules: * http://www.techservinc.com/protelusers/forumrules.html * * Browse or Search previous postings: * http://www.mail-archive.com/proteledaforum@techservinc.com * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *
