Thanks Brian,

It didn't seem to matter what my screen seetings were, but I had the
transparant layer option set on my laptop.  Once that was turned off,
everything worked fine.

Oddly enough I thought I had already checked that!!? Hmmm... definitly need
some time off.

Check your laptop's system screen color settings.  I remember that Protel
has
problems with some oddball video color modes, like 24 bit color, or 256
colors.  It
seems to work best with 32bit color.

Also verify that on your laptop, that the same color transparency options is
set for
Protel compared to your desktop computer settings.
