Re: [PEDA] startup window
The startup window can be disabled by editing the client99se.ini file in your Windows directory. Find the entry - DisplaySplashScreen=true, and set it to false. This will enable you to minimise Protel on startup. Mike. Re: [PEDA] startup window
Yes I think it is a bug. I remember a discussion on this list a long time ago and it had something to do with launching Protel and clicking somewhere else on the screen at just the right time. Maybe it was minimizing the app as it launched. You could probably check the archives (Do we have an archive ???) If you add the ini file entry exactly in accordance with KB item 2410 but set it to True initially. Is it still removed? Once you have it stably there can you then change it to false successfully? Running Protel 99SE sp6, already had the DisplaySplashScreen=True setting in my Client99se.ini file; simply changed it to false and it works (opened and closed protel a couple of times to make sure). The first time I had protel already open and it clobbered the setting back to the original setting of true, but when I edited it with protel closed it stayed false.
