I've been in contact with Jingkai, who has been very helpful trying to get
146.9.4.104 back online. Unfortunately, the problem is greater now: the
server doesn't seem to boot from cd (Knoppix), and the screen blanks out
after scanning for disks/partitions during startup.

I'm going to guess that the data is likely fine and that the failure to boot
is something small and circumnavigable. This is only a guess based on
experience; I do not have access to the server.

If we hear back that the OS is simply taking a long time to load, then we
don't have a problem. Jingkai knows how to set the IP address, and we can
start the server up.

Otherwise, we may need to schedule a trip out. If we do this, we should take
care of all our business at once. This includes preparing by:
* Making 103 Read-only and copying data over to the partition (requires
server code push)
* Making sure we have the correct disk to add to 103 RAID AND know how to
set up the RAID
* Have Ubuntu install/live disk and alternative disks ready for
troubleshooting 104

We can make a day of this if we need to. Heads up: 104 is currently offline.

Cheers,
Bryan

Oh no. And it got stuck for more than 10 minutes?
Knoppix sometimes takes a long time to load. I wouldn't be surprised if it
took a little longer than 10 minutes or so. But the screen went blank? I
couldn't imagine what happened.

Thanks for your help. Not sure where we go next. I'll talk to others: we may
need to come down to look at the server. I don't have a vehicle, but the
other developer does. I'll talk to him to see what he thinks.

Cheers,
Bryan
