From: Marius Sigheti Just came across this website which I found absolutely fascinating - an index of countries in the world, based on how efficiently they convert the earth's resources into years of 'happy ' human life: http://www.happyplanetindex.org/
Or you can see the full report here: http://www.neweconomics.org/gen/z_sys_PublicationDetail.aspx?pid=225 It seems to show that moderately developed countries are generally 'happier' than countries of either high or low development. And also, on page 29 of the report, is a graph indicating that wealth and strong government do not correlate with life satisfaction in Europe. Factors that correlate the most are creativity, loyalty and adventure. Really interesting, check it out! In addition, you can calculate your own personal score on the Happy Planet Index. How happy are you... and at what price to the environment?! Please note that the survey is completely anonymous - no information is collected which can identify you personally. Again, I found it very interesting, and true. http://www.itint.co.uk/hpisurvey/ Marius P.S.: Do you find Romania's score reasonable? -- "Let me know, that at least, she will try Then she'll be a true love of mine" www.arin.ro [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] Sageata Albastra e cea mai mare tzeapa a transportului public!
