Excuse me, but could someone please explain to me: What is a torrent file?

It's a way of making a big file (like our iso's) available in small
pieces from many sources, instead of having to be downloaded in one huge
file from a central server.

hello,
it will be really helpful if there is a torrent file for the protext. its
really painful to download 400Mb of data and it would not work. even if
there are few seeders for the existing protext in the mininova.org it will
be great.
