Hi,

I am writing an application where I want to store the data in a
protocol-buffer format. My client application say X, needs to work
offline and stores data in a protocol-buffer format in the local disk.
This file is then synchronized with a server. The file in the server
can be accessed by a different machine/client and modifications can be
made to it. Now my application X needs to get the changes from the
server and intelligently merge the changes with the local copy. Also,
the changes in local copy that are not yet synchronized in server also
needs to be stored.

I understand that protocol-buffers are designed as a network-transfer-
format and not a file-storage-format. However, are there any tools,
that can help me in bidirectional synchronization and conflict
resolution ?

Thanks.

Sankar
