HI all i have wrote a simple messages.proto, compiled it (On Ubuntu Lucid Lynx) with protobuf 2.2.0. here's the .proto file
package tutorial; option java_package = "com.example.messages"; option java_outer_classname = "MessageProtos"; enum MessageType { TEST = 0; DEBUG = 1; DO_TASK = 2; } message Message { required string content = 1; optional MessageType type = 2; } I am using Netty as well, and when i run it i get the following exception 2011-01-29 11:05:30,708 [client.NettyEchoHandler ] ERROR * Unexpected exception from downstream.
