Dear Protobuf Team, I just opened GitHub issue #2891 [1] to track the bug in the subject, then I saw on the homepage [2] that I should write to this email list before sending a fix.
Original bug is Bazel's #2634 [3]. In Bazel's repo we have a copy of protobuf 3.0.0, and I can fix the bug there but I'd also like to upstream the fix.
