For GWT in particular, you might ask them directly if they have any plans
with protobufs.

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone tried to use nixysa to build NPAPI plugins for 
compatible browsers to deal with protocol buffers.


One example use for such a thing would be a GWT application talking to a 
server in terms of protocol buffers.
