Interesting... Google's Chrome is the only browser that dos NOT work 
google's stuff ;)

Yes, I've specifically had that sort of problem with Chrome, and clearing
cookies fixed it in my case.  I don't have any other ideas, sorry.

As a matter of fact, IE and Firefox work but Chrome does not (it is my main
browser, actually). I tried to clear all personal data but no difference.
There seems to be something weird - but I have alternatives so it's not a
showstopper.

Hmm, works for me.  This may sound silly, but try deleting all your
google.com-related cookies.  I've seen redirect loops in google services
fixed by this before.
