exactly the same way as in Gecko, which is incorrect - to make it
work, it should be treated just like Safari - with a timer
periodically checking if the DOM is ready. I checked this in trunk

(http://prototypejs.org/contribute). What *may* be tricky for you is creating
an actual patch to attach to the ticket, but you don't have to do that. If
