Found the bug:
its in document._getElementsByXPath();
need to change:
results.push( query.snapshotItem(i) );
TO
results.push( $(query.snapshotItem(i)) );
I will create a ticket and post the fix.

I just tested Opera in the selector.html and no errors reported.
I suspect this situation is not present in that file.
I did however find an error in IE 6 with the "testSelectorWithChild :
5 assertions, 0 failures, 1 errors
TypeError: Object required([object Error])"

@Mislav - Yes I will try it with the selector.html (when I have time
to find it).
For now I was able to recreate the problem here:
