RE: [provisioning-dev] Maya to be known as Maynstall

2007-09-28 Thread Scharf, Michael
I am happy to see that one of the names of my little
brainstorming was chosen :-)

I think is a good decision to take one of the
Google unique names. Overloaded names (like "eclipse")
make it hard to find project related information.

[provisioning-dev] Maya to be known as Maynstall

2007-09-28 Thread Timothy Webb
We are officially going ahead with the name change from Maya to
Maynstall. I've posted a blog entry at our new blog below:

http://dev.eclipse.org/blogs/maynstall/

The foundation has done a trademark search and we are good to go with
this name. The first step will be to change the web presence and
then in parallel we will begin the task of changing the APIs and plug-
ins as needed. I am aware of at least a couple code bases built on
top of Maya and I would like to check for any other that we should be
made aware of. Please add to the related bug:

https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=204912

Thanks for your support in helping get the name out there.

Cheers,
Tim
