I've participated in this event before both as a student while I was in high
school and a presenter for Oregon Tech.

Its main purpose is to get high school students exited about a field in
engineering. Each student that attends is sponsored by an engineer who also
attends the event. So the target audience is two fold, practicing engineers In
the pdx area, and high schools students who are likely looking into engineering
school.

This is good event and it would be a shame to miss out on this opportunity.
Also I would think it easy to get PSU to pony up some money for display
materials. This falls directly in line with what the innovation initiative is
trying to accomplish.

I am defiantly up to attending the event but it needs to be more than just
myself. It would also be really cool to have some hardware, playing videos and
posters/displays.
