[PSAS] Need a name (DNS etc.) for the PSAS windows VM
Need a name (DNS etc.) for the PSAS windows VM. What should we call this new animal? I was thinking about PSASCAD, but maybe that's too broad. Specifying Solid Works seems a bit specific. perhaps PSASVM1, which would be generic, but provides a level of indirection. -Jeremy ___ psas-team mailing list psas-team@lists.psas.pdx.edu http://lists.psas.pdx.edu/mailman/listinfo/psas-team This list's membership is automatically generated from the memberships of the psas-airframe, psas-avionics, and psas-general mail lists. [PSAS] Anyone up for presenting the rocket at the Engineering Week Banquet next Wednesday?
We've been invited to present our project at the Engineering Week Banquet next Wednesday at the Lloyd Center Double Tree, 3:30pm to about 8pm (although I think the display might wrap up by around 6:30) I'm not sure if this is actually an MCECS event ,but it looks like it would be a repeat of the Engineering Discovery Showcase deal: We display the rocket for a few hours, and in return, we get all the PR we can generate, Kristen in Student Services donates $100 to our Foundation account, and the event provides a free meal for the presenters (the post-showcase banquet). -Jeremy ___ psas-team mailing list psas-team@lists.psas.pdx.edu http://lists.psas.pdx.edu/mailman/listinfo/psas-team This list's membership is automatically generated from the memberships of the psas-airframe, psas-avionics, and psas-general mail lists. [PSAS] youtube page
I've been finding that directing outside folks to our youtube page seems get them pretty excited about the project. It looks like sometime recently some videos were switched around, and now our main video On Board LV2.3 with Roll Stabilization states it was removed by the user but I think it just got swapped with a new version of the same video. Could we get something current and cool to show up on the default page ( http://www.youtube.com/user/PSASRockets )? -Jeremy ___ psas-team mailing list psas-team@lists.psas.pdx.edu http://lists.psas.pdx.edu/mailman/listinfo/psas-team This list's membership is automatically generated from the memberships of the psas-airframe, psas-avionics, and psas-general mail lists. [PSAS] MCECS BBQ - volunteers?
PSAS has been invited to attend the Annual MCECS BBQ (Thursday, September 23rd from 11 am-1 pm). I'll be able to help set up, and Ben will be point for the event. This is a great chance for us to interact with some new and returning engineering students, and also to get our student members some free food! We could really use: * Another couple of folks to help show what we do * Rocket parts to show off (roll control maybe?) * A laptop with video of launches ___ psas-team mailing list psas-team@lists.psas.pdx.edu http://lists.psas.pdx.edu/mailman/listinfo/psas-team This list's membership is automatically generated from the memberships of the psas-airframe, psas-avionics, and psas-general mail lists. Re: [PSAS] MCECS BBQ - volunteers?
It's the Engineering School's free lunch during orientation. One of their highlights is showing off engineering student groups. It should be held in front of EB (by Taco Del Mar and the creepy metal sculpture) and every year they move into the atrium when it starts to rain. Re: [PSAS] When is the next launch?
I have heard from several folks, many of whom are PSU related, some who are not, who are very interested in the launch and would like to attend. I'm trying to collect some detail to make it as easy as possible for them to come out and spectate since this is a public launch. Can somebody clarify on the following: We are doing the big launch on Sunday, correct? And do we have a launch time estimate?
