@Chris if we should pull out all the stops then do you want to print off a
copy of my PSAS history poster on the plotter?

These kinds of events were always very successful at OIT. I would highly
recommend pulling out all the stops for this. It also gives engr students a
place to get hooked up with groups that actually get there hands dirty doing
engineering aside from just learning about it. Not to mention its a good way
for different faculty and staff to become aware of our accomplishments. Its a
win win all way round.

It's the Engineering School's free lunch during orientation. One of
their highlights is showing off engineering student groups.

It should be held in front of EB (by Taco Del Mar and the creepy metal
sculpture) and every year they move into the atrium when it starts to
rain.

It's the MCECS New Student BBQ - basically, a chance for all new
engineering students to hang out. All the students groups will be there.
There will be free lunch, some speakers, and it's in the Engineering
Building Atrium (where we did the parachute tests).

Kristin wants us to show up at 10:30am to setup - I think that's a bit
ridiculous, but sure, it'll give us time to hang out and chat.

[PSAS] MCECS BBQ - volunteers?

2010-09-20 Thread Jeremy Booth
PSAS has been invited to attend the Annual MCECS BBQ (Thursday,
September 23rd from 11 am-1 pm).  I'll be able to help set up, and Ben
will be point for the event. This is a great chance for us to
interact with some new and returning engineering students, and also to
get our student members some free food!

We could really use:

* Another couple of folks to help show what we do
* Rocket parts to show off (roll control maybe?)
* A laptop with video of launches
