Strangely enuff I had a similar problem last week. I finally tracked it down to a stale /var/lib/nfs/rmtab file - this may have come about after a power outage but I am not sure. Cleaning up the stale stuff in /var/lib/nfs/ solved ny problem. regards, gene/ On Wed,

I encountered this problem on my server. What causes it? What fixes it? I upgraded my kernel to 2.4.20 and the problem appears to have gone away. I've been running 2.4.20 and I have not seen the problem repeat. I tried mounting the nfs with version 3.0, I thought this would fix it. Based on my
