Hi Listers,
I just wanted to give a brief Hot spot update..
To make things easier with hot spots set up the num pad to watch hot
spots using num pad # 1 to watch the # 1 hot spot and so-forth..
When your in a plugin Waves Rcomp in this case find the threshold and
other important controls you
There's a document that lists all of the keyboard shortcuts. You can either
download it from the Avid website or just located it under the help menu.
I would use a desktop keyboard just for convenience. PT utilizes the numpad
keys which of course you can get to with a laptop keyboard, it's just
Hi Trahern,
Currently, plug-ins are accessible by nature of the fact that their parameters
are automatable. If there are pop-up menus for presets, that's usually not
automatable so one might not have ready access to those presets. Some plug-ins
have keyboard shortcuts to cycle through presets
Hi trahern,
Pro Tools comes with an enormous amount of documentation in pdf form. There's a
Pro Tools Keyboard Shortcuts document that lists tons of commands. I know that
Avid has these documents on their site although they might not be terribly easy
to find. At any rate, you might be able to
Trahern,
Rather than searching and possibly finding the wrong version, here's the
document in a dropBox link:

Cameron, those versions are only there because they're bundled and left over
from older stock. Moving forward, these interfaces will only include Pro Tools

Hi Brian,
From what I understand, Apple removed that functionality in the newer Mac books
and Mac Book Pros. I'm still double-checking on that. Regarding the Blue Tooth
keyboards, they're not extended keyboards. They're simply a means of accessing
the keyboard away from the lap top or cPU.

While this sounds like a good idea at first, I can see how it might not work

Hey Frank,
Gee, I thought this list was already kind of a society of blind Pro Tools
users. ;)
Yes, speaking is decidedly more personal than a bunch of typing, however, and
of course I recognize the appeal in conducting an online chat. If I'm
available, I'll certainly participate. If you feel
