I couldn't agree more. THis was very similar to the situation I had with
cakewalk. And, yes, it is more important to get access to things like the
midi event view. I think that if we can get a handle on the controller
implementation for a lot of these plugs we'll be able to get them work

introducing a new version of Pro Tools along with a new plug-in architecture,
