Yep, Don't use the MIDI Editor in Pro Tools, use the MIDI Event List which lays everything out in a table. There are a few quirks but it works. I'll be doing a bunch of MIDI work next week so I'll try to gather a few pointers and put something together as an outline of what one should be aware
