Sorry for the double email. the most basic solution I can think of:
I pulled the virtual extended keyboard app out of the bundle and put it
in /Applications.
FloTools asked me once if I wanted to install, but it seems to have
stored my answer somewhere because it tries to install every time.

The assertion error in ProTools likely has to do with Ventura itself. If anyone
can avoid it, I would not be running Ventura if possible
