Just a quick note. First, there's no such thing as Mix or edit mode but there
are the Mix and Edit windows. As such, the P and semicolon shortcuts work only
when the Edit window is open. It doesn't have to be seen but it has to be open

OK, thanks for the clarification about the Edit and Mix windows.
Well, I'm using PT10 and it seems that to get those keystrokes to
work, you need to be in the Edit window. I use command+= to toggle
between the Edit and Mix windows.
Secondly, I've discovered, these are keyboard focus
Wo! baby! I never knew about the command shift F! I gotta try that next
time!
