Hello,
I am using Yosemite still and haven’t experienced the password issue regarding
VoiceOver.
Try setting VoiceOver to factory defaults seeing if this makes a difference.

Thanks for the idea but there is no lock showing in the voice over
utility its just asking me for the password when I try to tick the box
to allow apple scripts to control voice over.
Its a very strange thing.
Is anyone else here on yosemite still? Its hardly just a bug in this

Hi Brian,
Have you tried unlocking the section of system preferences your in.
IE un lock the bottom right hand corner of the window.
Usually it asks for a pass word when you try to un-lock the preff pane, to make
changes so check this out and see?

actually that its rejecting the password , its just when I enter it
the box remains unchecked...strange. I have no password set on the
other machine on which I installed flo tools with out problems.

This may be stating the obvious, but when you check the allow apple script to
control VoiceOver checkbox, are you typing in the password you use to log into
your computer or the password for that user account?

Hi Brian,
The problem seems to be that you cannot enable Applescript control of
VoiceOver. I don't know why that would necessarily be but it seems to be
preventing the installation. Perhaps Chi or Rocco can chime in here.

1. I run the installer, where by it speaks to please wait etc, and
then voice over speaks that there's a stop button in focus, and then
