I prefer the way protools does this. In sonar the track arm state was
remembered. which was useful in some ways. But not so good for your speakers or
ears, if you load up a session with a mic connected to the input of the track
that was still armed. It used to get me a lot.

Yeah, that's by design. The Input monitor status will be remembered but that
only pertains to audio tracks.

I think this is by design, the track armed status will also change if you hide
a track. You might see this as a problem, or a security caution, but I haven’t
seen any preference to change the way it works by default.
