do they still make the 003, I know when i was tracking down control surfaces a
couple of years ago, i was told it was not made any more. Maybe i was mis
informed.

For a low cost replacement I would look at the Digidesign 003 IMO. It is one of
the only cost affective Control surfaces that will do what your Tascam can do
plus more.
