ProTools will run on pretty much any mac you can buy - that said, I'd avoid the bottom end 1.4GHZ iMac and Mac Mini. A general rule of thumb is to buy the best you can afford. The more ram the better - and if you can afford to upgrade the CPU to a quad I7, then do so. Also an SSD is a great
