THos e specs should be plenty powerful, Though if you can spare the cash I’d
max out the RAM for no reason than future proofing. Also don’t forget you will
probably need an external drive or two depending on what kind of work you plan
to do.

as I have said many times, Flotools doesn't cost anything. what costs is
keyboard maestro, which is about 35 to 40 bucks if I remember correctly. it
is a one-time license. it's not like you're paying monthly or anything like
that.
as for your new system, it depends on what you're trying to do,
I am going to be getting a mac mini, with the following specks.
3.2 ghz processer, turbo boost up to 4.6 a six core, 512 gigs of
storage, which is an ssd and 32 gigs of ram.
Will this configuration run the latest version of protools just fine, or
will I need to max out the memory?
