Anyone Using Voiceover Feature Called Fast Searching with Pro Tools?

2016-08-27 Thread Chi Kim
Hi All,

I discovered something that might be useful for some people who don't
know about this.
I knew about fast search feature, but I never really bothered with it
too much even though I had it enabled. Then I played with it inside Pro
Tools little bit. Actually I kind of like it. You can jump to different
things really quickly.
I.E. If you're outside of channel strip, and if you press command+i,
your voiceover will jump to inside of inserts. If you press command+v,
Voiceover will jump to the volume fader, command s for sends, and so on.
Basically Voiceover will jump to a next element that starts with that
letter, and If you add shift, it'll jump to a previous item that starts
with the letter you pressed.
If you just press command+m in succession, you'll go through mute
buttons for each track without having to stop interacting, move to a
next track, interact with it, and move to the mute. It's really fast too!
Have fun!

Chi

Re: Question concerning edit-modes

Hi Slau,

thanks for that. It worked. But there seems to be a bug tha was fixed in the
latest PT 12.5.2. Because one of my students uses 12.4, experiencing the same
issue, and your solution doesn’t work for him. But how ever, with 12.5.2
everything seems to be OK.

Thanks and best.

Michael
