Hi Yeah That would be your problem with Hi Sierra. This actually happened to me
a few weeks back. I upgraded to hi sierra and was running protools 12.61. This
import problem occurred. I upgraded to 12.82 and import problem was resolved.
So speaking from experience i would almost guarantee this

That's most likely the case since I recently updated to High Sierra.
I've looked for a solution for this for several days now and didn't thought of
this at all. :)

Most likely the problem is that you have updated your system to Mac OS High
Sierra. In any case you are using a version of ProTools that’s too old for the
operating system you are running. I believe Avid hasn’t officially approved
High Sierra yet, but if you update to the latest

But when I press CMD-Shift-I to bring up the import audio dialog, the following
