Hving only used the Waves version of the afex exciter, I think the air enhancer 
that comes free with protools does a similar trick. It can be cool on acoustic 
piano for a specific 70’s sounding thing or on a dull acoustic guitar.

While the plug-ins themselves are accessible, whether it's worth it is a 
difficult question to answer. I think you might be able to use them in a trial 
mode, not sure. Personally, I wouldn't go out of my way to acquire them. Two 
cents worth.

Hi,

 

When downloading the 2022 versions of the Avid plugins from my account I
downloaded Aphex systems.

When installed I see to plugins:

Aphex aural exciter enad Aphex bigbottom pro.

Starting Pro Tools I ran in the message that I must licence Aphex.

On the website I see that I have to pay for it. (the other plugins I
downloade are free).

The price is 99.

My questions: is it worth buying and is it accessible.
