If it's an Apple keyboard, it's USB 2 and you can plug your iLok key into it.

Is there enough USB power to do this?

2022-06-14 Thread Christopher Gilland

So guys,

I have one of those white full sized wired USB aluminum Apple keyboards
that have the 2 USB ports on them. My thing is, I think, though don't
quote me, those ports only support USB 1.0. they might be 2.0 ports, but
somehow, I tend to doubt it.. I know they're extremely extremely low
powered.

My question is, could I probably get enough power off one of those
things to effectively run my iLok through one of them instead of
plugging it to my 7 port USB hub? I'm running out of USB ports very
rapidly, so figured if I could take it off the hub to save a port there,
it would be incredibly helpful.

Chris.
