ASIO drivers should work as well, and i do believe is the prefered
standard for pro audio on windows. WDM drivers are the generic windows
drivers for sound cards on windows so if you can use them as your
default system card, then chances are that wdm drivers has already
been installed.

Have ASIO drivers installed. They work with other audio programs but Pro Tools
just nags about no Digi/Avid hardware and quits without letting me configure
anything.

Okay so I was really wrong about which drivers to use. Let's just be clear
that I haven't touched windows in exactly ten years. You want asio drivers not
wdm. My bad.
