Hi guys: Happy holidays to you all! I'm trying to mix in protools, but I'm having difficulties doing that. I imported the the bed I want to use and the pieces of vocals to mix with the bed so as to produce a spot. I've been stuck since yesterday, anyone have an idea of how to go about doing this

Hi strip silence is Basically "destructive". Noise gate is only as long as you have the gate plugin inserted on your audio track. HTH Chuck On Nov 22, 2018, at 6:12 PM, Ramy Moustafa wrote: > Hi Chuck: > Thansk so much for this. > but may i know the difference between Noise gate and strep

Hi Peet: THanks so much for that, they are all working. Just the Numeric Keypad is dimmed. do not know why. but it’s working as you stated. THanks again > On Nov 22, 2018, at 4:40 PM, peter bosher wrote: > > Hi Ramy, > > > Two things which might help you: > > In ProTools preferences,

Hi Ramy, Two things which might help you: In ProTools preferences, operation tab, transport cluster, check the checkbox "audio during fast-forward/rewind", set the "custom FF/RW speed" to your preference but I find around 500 % is good. then make sure that the numeric keypad mode is set to

Hi Ramy, First thing to try is a noise gate and just set the threshold so only the usable vocal can be heard. next You can use strip silence on the vocal track and just set the threshold below any usable vocal information on the track. If you set it properly you'll only have the vocal track

Ok, but again i must listen to the hole track in this way, right? there is no way to know where the singer is singing, he can sing just 1 or 2 words, and then silence for 4 or 5 bars. etc so the tap will not work. > On Nov 21, 2018, at 8:15 PM, Steve Martin wrote: > > Yeah, use tab to move

Yeah, use tab to move to where the singing starts then when you find where you want to edit use CMD+E to split the wave file there. > On Nov 21, 2018, at 12:30 PM, Ramy Moustafa wrote: > > Ok, but i have the track as 1 wave file, because he needs me to open > Recording and leave him sing

Ok, but i have the track as 1 wave file, because he needs me to open Recording and leave him sing whenever he needs. do you mean Using the Cmd+E after i listen him Singing? or what? > On Nov 21, 2018, at 3:55 PM, Steve Martin wrote: > > Tab to transient may be useful here. Every time you are

Tab to transient may be useful here. Every time you are at the start of where its blank for a while if you tab to the next transient it should place you where he starts singing again and if needed you can rewind a little to place the split. > On Nov 21, 2018, at 8:17 AM, Ramy Moustafa wrote:

Hi, If you’re using the numeric key pad, fast foreward is possible. If you have a control surface with jog wheel, the scrubbing function definitely is your friend. Hope, that helps. Stefan > Am 21.11.2018 um 12:54 schrieb Ramy Moustafa : > > Hi all: > > Need to know if there is a better
