The Right to Trial by Jury.

2001-05-29 Thread John Wilson

Dear Fellow Australians,

Today, I have have filed an application for
Special Leave to Appeal (File No:  S 110 of 2001) against the Judges of the
New South Wales Supreme Court continuing to deny me, an ordinary citizen, the
right to trial by jury to determine my action against the Crown for being denied
the right to trial by jury when the Chief Judge at Common Law, James Wood,
single-handedly tried, convicted and sentenced me to jail for 2 years without
parole, on 9th November 1999.

The action against the Crown is intended to have
a jury decide whether Australians have the right to trial by jury.

Judges maintain that we do not and that Magna
Carta is obsolete.

Let the people decide?  Not if the judges
can stop it.

Yours sincerely,

John Wilson.

Dear Fellow Australians,

THE TIME:    at 9:15am on
Thursday, 9 November 2000
THE PLACE:    the Supreme Court
of New South Wales, Queen's Square, Sydney.
THE CASE:    John Wilson -v-
State of New South Wales, 20137/2000.
THE ISSUE: Unlawful Imprisonment

THE QUESTION:   will a judge deny a trial by jury
for the determination of whether Australians have the right to trial by
jury?

POSSIBLE OUTCOMES:

1.    a judge will summarily (without a jury) dismiss my claim of
unlawful imprisonment by judging "in his own cause".

2.    a judge will accept that he cannot judge "in his own
cause" and set a date for trial by jury.
    WHAT ARE THE ODDS???

Yours sincerely,
John Wilson.

JOHN
WILSON -v- STATE OF NEW SOUTH WALES
File
No:  20137/00

Attached is a
draft of the questions I will ask and a statement I shall make before a Master
in the Supreme Court,  Queen's Square, Sydney this coming Monday at 9:30
am.

What is
actually on trial is the JUSTICE SYSTEM IN AUSTRALIA.

With the
approaching Olympic Games to be held in Sydney in September,  the world
spotlight will be directed onto our country. How will we stand with respect to
the rights of the people, in and out of our
courts?

All our
rights stem from one fundamental right,  which is the right to trial by
jury - and without it,  we cannot be considered a nation of free
people.

Please relay this message
on.

sincerely,

Dear Dorothy,

Thank you for your thoughts.

I will put your email onto the neither list - perhaps someone has such a
list.

It's the greatest shame a country can be afflicted with - a totally corrupt
system of justice - and, coming up to the Olympic Games, we deserve the
derision of the world.

No, it's beyond shame.

It's a lack of caring for our children.

I'm not depressed. I'm angry.

Yours sincerely,

John Wilson.

The right to trial by jury

1999-11-06 Thread John Wilson

Dear Fellow Australians,

At 9:45am on Monday 8th November in the Court of Appeal, Queens' Square,
Sydney, the Prothonotary (Clerk of the Supreme Court) will move that my
request for trial by jury be denied - against all the Charters and Statutes
which have formed the foundation for English Justice, ie: Magna Carta,
Bill of Rights, Habeas Corpus, Petition of Right, etc..

I have attached a leaflet summarizing those Acts that I made up some time ago.

Because Australian judges (including those in the High Court) have rejected
all those Charters, they have broken our laws to protect themselves.

The leaflet does not include Article 14 of the International Covenant on
Civil and Political Rights which says that "all persons are equal before
the law" and "everyone shall be entitled to a fair and public hearing by a
competent, independent and impartial tribunal". This International Law
provides the path to go beyond the corrupted courts of Australia and on to
the UN's Human Rights Commission - which I must now do.

Yours sincerely,

John Wilson.
