Chairs,

The Director is pleased to announce the re-charter of the Web Applications
Working Group:
     http://www.w3.org/2014/06/webapps-charter.html

The revised charter extends the group through 31 July 2016 to continue
working on specifications that enable improved client-side application
development on the Web.

The charter of this Working Group includes new deliverables that require
W3C Patent Policy licensing commitments from all Participants.
Consequently, all Participants must join or re-join the group, which
involves agreeing to participate under the terms of the revised charter
and the W3C Patent Policy. Current Participants may continue to attend
meetings (teleconferences and face-to-face meetings) for 45 days after
this announcement, even if they have not yet re-joined the group. After 45
days, ongoing participation (including meeting attendance and voting) is
only permitted for those who have re-joined the group.

The Working Group chairs are Art Barstow (Nokia) and Charles
McCathieNevile (Yandex). The Team Contacts are Yves Lafon and Xiaoqian Wu;

Michael Smith, Wei Wu, and Doug Schepers for a total of 0.30 FTE.
