Re: [Pulp-dev] Various MVP micro-discussions

2018-04-11 Thread Austin Macdonald
We had a very productive check-in meeting today. There is one MVP document
problem that was discussed that needs love, I am starting a separate thread
for that one.

Resolved discussions:

   - *Artifact Creation
   (upload):
https://pulp.plan.io/projects/pulp/wiki/Pulp_3_Minimum_Viable_Product#Artifacts

*
  - As an authenticated user, I can specify a size and/or digest to
  validate the uploaded file.

This line has been updated to: "As an authenticated user, I can
*optionally *specify a size and/or digest to validate the uploaded file."

   - *Lazy*

All mentions of lazy features have been moved to 3.1+

   - *Version from Version*

The Pulp 3 MVP tag has been removed. https://pulp.plan.io/issues/3360

   - *href_in_list filter*

Pulp 3 MVP tag removed. https://pulp.plan.io/issues/3240

Removed from MVP doc. Note: href_in_list replaces id_in_list, so that is
what was removed.

   - *Webserver Ansible installers*

Pulp 3 MVP tag removed (it was only present on the Nginx story).

Are the items we're removing from the MVP being moved to the 3.1+ planning
document on the wiki? We don't want to lose track of any of these items.
This applies also to the other changes we've made recently.

Also, my understanding from several months back was that the MVP document
was really meant to enumerate what should be in the 3.0 GA release, not the
3.0 core beta. So if any of these things are going to make it in during
the beta process (maybe not _this_ beta), I would prefer to leave them
red. And if we're not going to leave them red and it is the case that more
items will make it in during the beta, then we should make a new document
and move these items there.
