Today we are excited to announce an important milestone of the Pulp 3
project, the release of pulpcore 3.0.0rc1 and pulpcore-plugin 0.1.0rc1.
These packages constitute the core of Pulp 3 and its plugin API. Both are
now available on PyPI.
In the coming days, we expect plugins to announce releases
Jim,
Thanks for reaching out. Epel recently started shipping a newer version
than what’s in Pulp and newer than what we support in Pulp. This newer
version of celery is automatically being installed since yum tries to use
the latest version. This problem isn’t strictly limited to 2.18 but it’s
Due to problems with our CI environment[0] today we are postponing the RC
release. We are now targeting tomorrow, March 28. We apologize for

In order to give more time to some outstanding discussions like whether to
switch to UUIDs[0] or to drop pulp-manager[1], we’re pushing back the
release of Pulp 3 RC by one week. The new feature freeze date is March 13,
2019 while the release is expected to be on March 27, 2019.

Recently celery 4.2 was packaged for epel7[0] which is creating problems
for Pulp users as Pulp only supports celery 4.0. We’ve opened the following
issue to deal with this problem[1].
Until this issue is resolved, users should set the priority of their Pulp
repository to use Pulp’s celery
We’re approaching an RC release of Pulp 3.0 and we’ve put together a blog
post with some information about this release:

Please feel free to respond to this email with any questions, comments, or
concerns you have about the RC.
